Tim: I love the fact that I can run Windows stuff on this machine too. That alone has saved it's neck when I've gotten too frustrated to deal.

Karen: I've got a lot of posts in the works regarding likes/dislikes. I was originally going to do one massive post, but figured I'd split it out over time so that I could focus on individual things more. (Plus the draft for that post was getting huge.) Stay tuned!

I'm very interested in what you like/dislike about your new machine. I love my mbp and it works well for all of my needs, though I haven't experimented with as many OS's as you have.

y0!

I made a cold turkey switch back in Oct. of 04, I had been a die-hard PC user for years, and even used to make fun of my friends with an Apple computer. With the introduction of OSX, I've changed my mind. I know own two Macs, (MacbookPro, and 20" iMac (both dual core Intel and loaded on specs)) and I've had nothing really to complain about. The wife is now on her second Mac Book, and we also have a mini in our entertainment center.

Aside from some things not working on the mac, due to only IBM friendly etc, I've been very happy with the switch. I think once you get over that learning curve of what is where, what you can/can't do, all is well.

For my random PC needs, I do have Parallels and XP, which works very well for the twice a month I might need a windows box.

All in all, i'm happy. I use PC's all day at work, and both sides have pros and cons, but overall, i'm now a Mac guy..
