It started with a twitter. And an idea started forming. The domain was available and instantly registered. Heather and I worked on the code, and I spent an afternoon downloading and cropping images from BoingBoing to illustrate each square. And now we bring to you… BoingBoing Bingo!

BoingBoing Bingo

It’s simple really, just print out the board, post it on your cubicle, have your friends do the same, and the first person to 5 in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins.

I can think of so many other sites that could be equally bingo-ed, although none other having the Boing/Bingo anagrammic provenance. Still, could you release the code behind the site so that others can build Digg Bingo, MetaFilter Bingo, Drudge Bingo, Perez Hilton Bingo etc.?

The code is actually quite simple. You can check it out here. Feel free to reuse it for any bingo boards you’d like. A link back would be appreciated, but not required. :)

Why don't you organize online bingo games? I think it would be pretty catchy and I've never such a bingo at any websites I visited.
